Why Choose College Counseling & Consulting LLC?
Not all independent college counselors have any actual experience working in an admission office of a college or university, and very few have the depth and breadth of experience that Roberto Noya brings to the profession. He has worked in admissions at seven institutions of higher education and served as the chief enrollment manager at four of them. The institutions include two Ivy League universities and five liberal arts colleges, representing different affiliations, sizes, locations, curricula, and levels of selectivity:
- Harvard University, MA, Senior Admissions Officer
- Princeton University, NJ, Associate Dean and Acting Dean of Admission
- Lafayette College, PA, Dean of Enrollment Services
- Goucher College, MD, Vice President for Enrollment Management
- Drew University, NJ, Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid
- New College, FL, Director of Admissions
- University of Maine at Farmington, ME, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing
In addition, Mr. Noya has been a faculty member on the College Board’s Forum for New Chief Enrollment Managers and Deans, speaking on the topic of The Future of College Enrollment and has also served on the National SAT Committee of the College Board, as a regional delegate to the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and as a member of the Enrollment Management Council of the University of Maine System and of the Advisory Board of the Maine Global Initiative.
A graduate of New York University (BA in English literature) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education (M.Ed.), Mr. Noya also taught English at a Jesuit high school in Puerto Rico and has served as an academic advisor to high school and college students, moderated high school and college clubs and organizations, and mentored students and young professionals throughout his career. And during the course of over 30 years, he has conducted countless workshops for students, parents, teachers, and college advisors about virtually every aspect of the college admissions process.
